Last Friday (17th October), an MSc Forensic Psychology student at the University of Lincoln (Rebecca Rowland) presented at the inaugural Forensic Psychology conference run by the BPS North West Branch. The conference was held in Manchester and saw a series of major figures within the field of Forensic Psychology provide keynote presentations on their recent research.
Supported by her undergraduate supervisor (Dr. Ross Bartels), Rebecca presented a poster on her undergraduate research that was conducted as part of her BSc in ‘Psychology with Forensic Psychology’ degree. Using Thematic Analysis, the study examined the accounts of male victims who had suffered abuse from their female partner. The presentation received positive feedback from the delegates making for a rewarding, as well as informative, day.

The FCRG hopes to continue to support our students at future conferences.
