We would like to give a warm welcome to Dr Stephen Sharman, a new post doc at the University of Lincoln working within the FCRG on Gambling Research.
Dr Sharman’s research primarily focusses on gambling and problem-gambling. He is interested in investigating the cognitions related to gambling, and the effect of within-game structural characteristics on these cognitions. He has and still works with treatment-seeking gambling populations, and also investigates the relationship between gambling and homelessness.
Dr Sharman will be working with the Gordon Moody Association (a residential treatment facility for problem gamblers), interrogating their 30 years worth of data amongst other interesting projects. We look forward hearing about the results of this project as it unfolds.
